Verifying the Mechanical Performance of Cold and Hot Asphalt Mastics Containing Jet Grouting Waste as a Filler

In the road construction sector, CO2 emissions that affect global warming are, in most cases, from asphalt mixtures production activities are carried out at high temperature (above 160 °C). The research here presented aims to investigate physical-mechanical properties of mastics made up using jet grouting waste (JW) as a filler produced through both cold (40–50 °C) and hot mixing process. first step focused primarily on examining effects optimal blending time curing mastics. second investigation rheological dynamic shear rheometer carrying frequency sweep test temperatures ranging 0 50 °C with increments 10 °C, multiple stress creep recovery (MSCR) under 0.1 3.2 kPa load levels 40 °C. Four mastic solutions were analyzed then compared three traditional ones, keeping constant, one hand, binder weight over ratio (0.5), and, other changing type amount filler. compositions follows: (a) 33% limestone (LF) plus 67% bitumen (concerning process, content refers into emulsion), (b) JW bitumen, (c) 16.5% LF bitumen. fourth solution designed only for was Portland cement (PC) (referring emulsion). main findings showed performance achieved by adding filler, which pronounced elastic behavior. Moreover, better than PC, reaching 40% increase modulus 30% lower non-recoverable compliance values all temperatures.
